At Camas High School you may be most familiar with our award-winning DECA program supported by our Business/Marketing Pathway. Two more you will hear from in the near future as our CamTech and Business students bring them up to speed are:
Students in all of our Lab/Strands have the opportunity and encouragement to complete community service and to compete with people from other schools in these CTSO’s.
Applications Programming Lab – FBLA, DECA, SkillsUSA and SEF
Architecture Lab – FBLA and SkillsUSA
Design Engineering Lab – SkillsUSA and SEF, SciOLy
Digital Publishing Lab – FBLA, DECA, SkillsUSA
Fab Lab – SkillsUSA, SciOLy
Robotics Engineering Lab – FBLA, SkillsUSA, FTC, FRC and SEF, SciOLy
FRC = FIRST Robotics Challenge – a competition for business-engineering teams building robots the size of humans, with difficult and complicated challenges.
FTC = FIRST Tech Challenge – a competition for business-engineering teams building robots of about the two foot square size, with simpler challenges.
SEF = Science and Engineering Fair – a competition for individuals to present engineering and programming problem solving projects in the grand-daddy of all science fairs.
SciOly = Science Olympiad – a competition for teams of 15 students working in pairs to cover 23 different events, ranging from traditional-looking science tests to to very unconventional construction projects.
