Are you interested in tutoring? A local family is looking to a student who is willing to help their son in the subjects of Science and Math. They are willing to pay $15 per hour with a commitment of 3-4 times per week.  Interested in this position? See Mrs. O in the career center.

A Local Retired Couple Is Looking For Help With Maintaining Their Farm


This couple lives on 5 acres of land and the job would include:

  Yard care

  Pasture cleanup after high winds

  Pressure washing – blowing

  Wood stacking/splitting

  Barn cleanup

  Hay stacking

  Burning

  Help clean and organize garage tools

  Stain lawn furniture 

They are willing to pay  $15.00 an hour and students must have their own transportation, willing to work in 4 hour increments and must be self-motivated. See Mrs. O in the Career Center for contact information for this family.

Volunteer Opportunity!


The West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is looking for student volunteers to help in the mornings with cleaning in the cat shelter and they’re willing to give you credit for school or help you with your Senior Project.  Normally, cleaning hours for those 16-18 years of age are Monday-Saturday from 9-11, but they are willing to be flexible on those times, depending on your schedule.

They are also offering internships in the office during open hours. Students must be 16-18 years old to apply.

A Local Family Is looking For A Nanny To Watch Their Kids. Interested? See Below

They’re looking for a high school student to babysit after school and weekends.  Student would mainly be used on Friday or Saturday nights but we occasionally have a need during the week with various appointments.  They have two boys, ages 2 and 5 and they have lots of energy, love going to the park, library, and going for walks around Lacamas Lake! The Family lives near the high school and can pay $10 an hour.  Student should have their own transportation, enjoys being around children and has previous experience babysitting. The Pacific Northwest College Of Arts Is Hosting An Open House Event!

PNCA is having an open house event on September 30 from 12:00 pm -5:00 pm. It’s a great opportunity to check out the college from every angle. Students will be able to get a feel for the campus and the community in person (highly recommended!), and they will be able to attend info sessions on the College Application Process and Financial Aid.

They are also offering free workshops in printmaking and WACOM 2D animation, as well as portfolio reviews!
