Do you have a senior graduating? Transitions after high school graduation can be challenging on multiple fronts for both adults and youth. National studies show that only 14% of all graduating 18 year olds felt prepared for aspects of life after high school. While this is indeed a dismal statistic, the more proactive we are as parents and guardians, the better equipped our youth are.
Please join us on May 18th as Mrs. Liebe, one of our School Counselors, presents on this important topic, outlines a variety of ways in which you can help prepare your graduate in the upcoming months then opens up the floor for dialogue. This event is open to parents of seniors and will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the North Commons. You will walk away with topics to begin discussing with your senior immediately and have a better understanding of why youth are less prepared for transitions now than they were even fifteen years ago. We look forward to seeing you!
