2014 Washington Achievement Award Winner

2014_wa_acheivementCamas High School has been identified as a 2014 Washington Achievement Award winner. The Washington Achievement Awards are sponsored by the Washington State Board of Education and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. They celebrate Washington’s top-performing schools and recognize achievement in many categories. This highly-selective award is based on our school’s performance on the Washington State Achievement Index.  The Washington Achievement Award is given in six categories: overall excellence, high progress, reading growth, math growth, graduation rate (high and comprehensive schools only) and English language acquisition. CHS FIRST Robotics World Championships

This last weekend the Camas Robotics team traveled to St Louis for the World Championships after qualifying for the 5th year in a row. There were over 900 robots in the three day meet with competing in eight different fields. Team Mean Machine was on the Carson field and Placed 7th out of 75 teams advancing to the quarter-finals. It was an outstanding effort by the entire team. Way to go Team Mean Machine!
