CHS Wrestlers Place 5th at State

The Camas wrestling team this past weekend made history at the Tacoma Dome. Congratulations to Tanner Craig and all the CHS wrestlers!  For the second year in a row, Camas had a wrestling state champion as Tanner won arguably the toughest weight class, 132 pounds.  Tanner led the way as four others placed in the top four in their respective weight classes.   Jack Latimer and Sam Malychewski earned third-place medals, and Rylan Thompson and Gideon Malychewski finished in fourth place. This helped the Papermakers rise up to fifth place in the team standings with 90 points.

Head coach Cory VomBaur believes this is the best finish for Camas at state in the school’s history. Tanner Craig, Latimer, Gideon Malychewski, Isaac Duncan and Colby Stoller want more next year. Great job to all the wrestlers on a historic season! Read more at Lacamas Magazine
