It was a fantastic graduation weekend – a celebration and farewell to over 500 of our students. Putting together graduation is an enormous logistical endeavor – setup & takedown, parking & staging, speeches & sound systems. Most all of this work happens behind the scenes helping make the moment extra special for each graduate. Thank you everyone for your help! It’s pretty amazing to see it all come together.
Graduations provide opportunities for students to address their classmates and inspire us with their wisdom. Senior Alyssa Jackson spoke about her journey from trying not to be noticed to speaking at graduation sharing her realization that “I was never meant to be a wallflower. I was meant to bloom my heart out!” Senior Erick Lake with dreams of being a teacher spoke about the importance of education. “The world around us is growing ever more complicated and the cracks are beginning to show.
