Manufacturing Fair

Partners in Careers is hosting a Manufacturing Fair on Wednesday, May 29th from 2pm to 5:30pm. This event will be held at “Next”, a new youth center on 136th behind WorkSource. Students must apply to attend and will receive an invitation if they are selected. Must be 18 years old by July 1st and need to do the following:

  • Legally work
  • Pass a drug test
  • Completed either an advanced Manufacturing related H.S. course (see the application for examples) OR a manufacturing related internship.

This fair will present opportunities to Seniors who are ready and willing to work 40 hours per week, on a permanent basis. Regardless of whether you want to go to college (some of the employers who attend offer college reimbursement), students must be interested in working 40 hours per week.

Scholarship Opportunity – Deadline May 15

The Oregon/SW Washington Chapter of the Association for Learning Environments Scholarship is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program designed for graduating students who seek financial support for their pursuit of post-secondary educational opportunities in similar fields represented by members of the Association.The amount of this Scholarship will be a one-time lump sum of $2,000, to be applied toward post-secondary education. Applications will be accepted March 1 to May 15.
